A love story

A review I wanted to share by the wonderful Crystal Trent Dobson. My thanks to her for this lovely review.

Lost in your time

I fell in love with Elle Amberley’s writing with the first book I read of hers “No Place To Hide” though this is the sequel to it,but it is a standalone book but, it is even better, with even more challenges and a love story of it’s own. It’s so close to the challenges that we face, which brings the character to life, and makes it as if you are Natasha’s friend and helping to see her through her journey. It is an incredible story. I can’t wait to read more of Elle Amberley’s writing.

Still bohemian

A French connection that you could not take out of this girl. Reborn in Paris, like Sacha Guitry once famously said. “Parisian are not born in Paris, they are reborn.”

So mine lay dormant for many years, until after a period of intense grief, a click prompted me in the right direction. This is the story which inspired my novel, Lost in your time.

I’m guesting on the French Village Diaries, talking about this special connection. I invite you to go and read my post on this lovely blog.

Thanks for reading 🙂

What he said…

Forever may not be long enough,”says Matthieu to Natasha in my new novel, Lost in your time.

He’s French and he doesn’t take no for an answer. Impossible is also denied.

So, will the sparks fizz out? Or will Natasha fall for the forever concept?

“Forever is the most dizzying word in the English language. The idea of staying in one place forever was like standing at the border of a foreign country, peering over the fence and trying to imagine what life might be like on the other side, and life on the other side was frankly unimaginable.”

Emily St John Mandel ( Last night in Montreal)

Still, sparks are flying back & forth, or am I mistaken? Is my gut instinct back and working? I switched it off for such a long time, or rather I chose to ignore and forgot how to tune it back on. God, I’m going to have to tread carefully.

A bit mad?

Holy shit, we wanted to tell you later when it was a bit quieter. We’ve only just found out but you can see Kirsten’s gone a bit mad.’

A bit mad? He must think I’m the mad one now as I collapse in tears, unable to contain myself. Months of trying to put all the grief behind me are undone in a few seconds. Mike hasn’t got a clue what’s hitting me and having failed to reach me through his words, kneels down besides me to give me one of his big brother hugs. How I’ve missed him and Kirsten.

Turn it back on

My heart skips a beat as I see his name, he’s already written several messages. I laugh as he chides me for having my mobile switched off, demanding that I turn it back on. My fantasy is truly alive. What now though?

Rock star or husband – which would you choose?

Ah, the dangers of the internet! We’ve all been warned, but do we take notice?

When Natasha clicks on a link, her whole life is turned upside down. A flash from the past, a chance meeting with a gorgeous French rock star…

A chance to start over and forget the pain and misery from the last two years.

But can Natasha let go? Will she accept this new twist in her life?
